Drafting Services
The Office of Physical Planning and Construction offers a broad range of drafting and graphics services including: create As Built / Record Drawings from markups; prepare site maps, exit plans, location maps, border sheets and background floor plans for use by consultants; generate CAD details, sketches and schematics from hand drawn or photocopied materials; utilize various graphic design programs to create presentation materials, maps and details; and general small project design/drafting.
Cubicle Installation
Our draftsman also serves as the campus representative for panel
system furniture installations (Steelcase, Westinghouse, etc.). The
draftsman will review all systems furniture orders and designs for code
compliance and seismic and safety issues. Coordinate reviews by others
(e.g., Campus Fire Marshal, Network Telecom Services) as required.
Coordinate all related work for complete installation; coordinate
information and tasks of clients, UCSC Purchasing, systems furniture
designers, manufacturers and installers, ITS, campus crafts personnel
and off-campus contractors.
